When I first saw the name "linese", my first thought was, "That sounds like practice."
The connection is a stretch, even when you know all the landmarks. 练习 is lian4xi2 in pinyin. 练习 means to practice/exercise/drill. I'm not sure how to say linese, but to me, lian4xi2 popped into my head. See - it's a stretch.
And that's my introduction to a cool set of youtube broadcasts.

Learning Chinese while watching people talk and interact. The level of Chinese is just a bit advanced for me but I can see the context which helps in understanding the parts I don't get right away.
What I enjoy about the lessons is that the actors obviously love China. Daniel and 韩佳 interact well together as they combine language learning with a fascinating travelog.
